Unit Requirements
Unit requirements depend on your educational goal: type of degree, transfer school, and occasionally, your major. For most students earning an associates degree and/or transfer at the junior-level, the following number of units are required.

- LPC Associate in Arts (AA) and Associate in Science (AS) Degrees: 60 semester units (LPC courses numbered 100-149 do not apply toward the AA/AS degrees)
- California State University (CSU) junior-level transfer: 60 CSU transferable semester units
- University of California (UC) junior-level transfer: 60 UC transferable semester units
- Independent and out-of-state colleges: varies by college. Check the transfer college’s website, transfer college’s catalog, transfer college’s admission representative, or an LPC counselor, and/or the LPC Transfer Center Calendar. In many cases (but not all), courses transferable to the University of California transfer to private and out-of-state colleges.
