Complete an Application for Admission
If you are new to OpenCCC, you will be prompted to register as a new user (your previous CCCApply login will not work - you must create an account with OpenCCC). Follow directions as prompted and write down your OpenCCC username and password for future reference. From there you will be directed to the LPC application.
If you do not have internet access at home, paper applications are available in A&R, Bldg 1600 - fill out completely and submit to the Admissions & Records Office, Rm 1670.
Allow at least 24 hours for processing your application before attempting to register. If you apply in person or by mail, then allow 2-3 business days for processing before attempting to register. There is no fee to apply.
If you have chosen not to provide your Social Security number (SSN) when applying to the College, this is your RIGHT, but there are several reasons why it may be to your advantage to provide your SSN on this application. See message from OpenCCC.
Things to do before your registration date:
Have Transcripts from previous colleges or AP test |
Any student enrolled at Las Positas College who desires academic credit for courses taken at other accredited colleges/universities must submit official transcripts of that work to the Office of Admissions and Records. It is the student's responsibility to initiate a request to each institution asking that an official transcript of his/her work be sent directly to the Office of Admissions and Records, Las Positas College. Students who wish to see a counselor to evaluate prior college/AP course credit (seal envelope) need to bring or send transcripts prior to making a counseling appointment.
