Registration Procedures for
CONTINUING Students

Continuing students will receive a CLASS Registration Appointment mailer two to three weeks before the registration period begins. Students may also look up priority registration dates online via CLASS-Web or The ZONE. Registration appointments will be based on the registration priority.

STEP 1:

Review your registration appointment notice. The notice will include:

  • Registration date

  • Holds or outstanding debts (These must be cleared prior to registration)

  • Academic standing (Students on academic probation/dismissal are required to see a counselor prior to registration)

STEP 2:

Financial Assistance
For information on enrollment fee waivers and other sources of financial aid, contact the Financial Aid Office and/or apply for financial aid online at www.fafsa.edu.gov.

STEP 3:

Register for classes via CLASS-Web
See the Schedule of Classes to select your classes, or view them online via CLASS-Web.  Refer to the CLASS-Web Instructions on how to use our CLASS-Web online system and how to get your Student ID and PIN Numbers.

STEP 4:

Pay Fees
Fees are normally due within ten days of registration. We currently offer the following options for payment: 1) Pay with a credit card online via CLASS-Web, 2) Pay in person at the Admissions window in Building 1600 only check or cash, 3) Send a check or money order for full payment - DO NOT SEND CASH, or 4) Enroll in our convenient NBS Tuition Payment Program (formerly FACTS Payment Program).

STEP 5:

Parking Permit
Parking Permit fees are found in the current Class Schedule or on the parking web page. Permits are available ONLINE ONLY via CLASS-Web or The ZONE, or at daily ticket machines located in most student parking lots. In order to purchase your permit online, you will need to provide your Student ID (SSN) as well as your vehicle license plate number.
Failure to display a parking permit, or parking in inappropriate spaces, will result in a citation. There are bike racks around college for bicyclists.
NOTE:
Financial Aid students will need to verify BOGW fee waiver status to receive a parking permit at a reduced fee of $20. EOPS students need to check with EOPS Office.

STEP 6:

Buy Books & College Print Card
Books can be purchased on line from the Follett website or in person at the LPC Bookstore (Building 1300). Be aware of the Bookstore check acceptance requirements, which are noted in the Class Schedule. Student ID cards are required or verification of class schedule. In order to utilize college computers, all users are required to have purchased a college print card from the Bookstore.
